My HUGE room

My new room. Mommy just wanted to paint over the wood paneling but Daddy wanted to tear it all out. So... the carpet and the paneling were history. Afterall they were much much older than me... maybe even older than Daddy!

Everything's gone. Only old ugly tile floor and shiny stuff on the walls were left.

New drywall yeah! Thanks Nana and G'pa!

Mommy and Daddy put down new cork flooring. It looks all crazy but is fun to jump on. And Daddy and Nana painted it a pretty blue.

Still no trim or shelving, but who cares? I've got TONS of TOYS!

And what more does a girl need?

Saga of the Walkin Closet

The Master Closet... we have often wondered what the previous owners were thinking... the master bedroom closet is definitely one of them. There was a closet within a closet but the actual closet wasn't deep enough for a hanger. Not even one of my baby hangers! So the decision was made to rip it out... and with it the lovely lace curtains.

One wall down. And whenever something comes down, another problem is discovered.

So another wall had to come down. They used cheap aluminum framing which means - no studs to attach things to. That just won't do for making a nice walking closet. I really think Daddy just liked tearing down the drywall!!

Hum... something is missing...

Drywall going up!

Now its time to paint!! I love painting!! Really, I love anything where I can get messy and ruin my new clothes!

Soon we should have pictures of the painted closet... it might be a while longer until its an actual functional space though!

Moving

We're all moved into the new house... well at least all moved out of the old house. I've got a HUGE room now that I've already littered with toys. Eventually we'll get an internet connection so Mommy can post all the fun moving pictures and me dressed up for Halloween. "Trick or Treat!" Yummy candy!!

Demo

We've spent a lot of time at the new house destroying things. We've had the house two weeks and mananged to tear up all the carpet (it was UGLY), remove the paint from the stairs, tear down two closets and a wall, in the process of refinishing the hardwood floors upstairs and have no floors downstairs. Its been a busy couple of weeks.

Here's one of the closets, leftover furniture (that was REALLY HEAVY, but fun to climb on), and the original hardwood floors that were covered.

Daddy tore out the closet because it was poorly constructed out of aluminum struts. Here he's working on tearing down the wall as well. I tried really hard to keep up with the mess he was making... but he was just too fast!

Here's a picture of the outside of the house... which needs to be painted a new color... at some point.

Update

So... Mommy lost her charger for her camera battery - which means no pictures. But we do have lots of news. The thing that Mommy and Daddy are excited about is that we bought a house! Someday, we'll be moving... once they fix it up. Pictures will eventually follow (once we find that cord...)

The thing I'm excited about is that its the beginning of fall. To me that means that I get to jump in puddles!! I've managed to completely soak myself and a bit of Mommy's pants twice. It is SO much FUN!! Apparently, Mommy & Daddy should have invested in those rainboots. :-)

Cali 7: Back again

Finally we made it back home after a great trip to California. Again, I was good on the 5+ hour flight across country. I passed out for about 2 hours and then happily watched Moo and Baby and then Baby Fishy (aka Finding Nemo).

Now I'm home with my Choo Choo backpack (Thomas the Train) and Dora bag (Thanks Auntie Mesu!) . I also know lots of new words including "Dancing Party", "b*t@%", "Grandpa", "Grandma", "Happy Birthday", and many many more. Thanks everyone in Cali for playing with me, teaching me, and well having fun. Hugs.

Cali 6b: The Wedding

The wedding was beautiful. For Northern California, or really anywhere, the weather was perfect. I was worried because Mommy cheaped out and didn't buy me a matching sweater for my dress, but no need.

The wedding started off well by providing bubbles. The bubbles were supposed to be for the end of the ceremony, but I couldn't wait and got all the kids blowing bubbles before the wedding. We all got to chase after the bubbles at the end of the wedding too.

The wedding was held in a Dahlia garden in my honor. The flowers were pretty and all, but I got lost in the garden; they were so BIG!

They even provided good munchies. Too bad Mommy & Daddy made me clean my hands before giving Auntie Ea a hug!

I ended up doing a pretty good job with my flower girl duties. I walked perfectly down the aisle (and here walking back down the aisle with Daddy).

But I decided that the petals the older girls threw really were messy and needed to be cleaned up. There were a lot of petals to put back into my basket.

After cleaning up, Daddy and G'pa Jim and I started the dancing early.

It was a great wedding. I hope I didn't screw it up too much by yelling "Auntie Ea" in the middle of the ceremony (twice).... he hee. Congrats Uncle Jesse and Auntie Ea!!

Cali 6a: Gorgeous

I don't know why I was so cranky. The weather was gorgeous...

Auntie Ea was gorgeous...

And I was of course gorgeous.
