Dragon

I decided I would go to school (daycare) as a dragon today. I know its not Halloween. I just felt like being a dragon. Why? Sometimes you just feel like saying "ROAR!!" (and because Daddy let me. he hee)

First weekend of spring

Last weekend was the first weekend of spring. It was gorgeous weather here - in the 70s! We had lots of fun. We went to the zoo on Saturday. The panda bears were very active - they even wiggled their booty at me!

I met a snake up close and personal. I really wanted to touch it but the lady wouldn't let me. Tease.

A yummy snack topped off a great morning!

I was such a good girl that Daddy bought me bubbles. I spent much of the afternoon and Sunday (after playing at the park) blowing bubbles with Mommy or with baby Jenny. I had to teach her how to blow bubbles.

Singing Diva

I love to sing... from the classics to rock to pop... I do it all.

The Itsy Bitsy Spider.

Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody

Miley Cyrus - Party in the USA

Kitchen

Ah the kitchen... the saga comes to a close. The kitchen from my view (yes, I am the photographer here).

Lots of pretty lights.

Handles on the doors make them much easier to open! (Mommy & Daddy put on the last of the hardware last night while I slept.)

The view really nice higher up too.... and of course always improved by my presence in the picture.

The view from the sink, across the island into the dining room (and our relatively sad little dining room table).

Octopus' Garden

My octopus and playdoh. Oh how I love to play with them. In the morning, in the evening, all the time. Here is my picture portrait of my octopus (I took about 20 pictures of my octopus.)

But I love it even more when I'm playing with it.

Hanging around

Occasionally I like to include pictures of Mommy and Daddy too. Apparently some people also like to see pictures of them. So I'll oblige... well as long as I had something to do with the picture.

Here's a picture of me and Mommy.

And here are two pictures I took - of Daddy...

And one I took of Mommy...

Lament

I was busy lamenting the lack of posts on other people's blogs, when I realized that we hadn't posted anything in weeks either. Mommy hasn't been taking any pictures recently, so nothing pretty to post but we can give an update.

Why does it always take the longest to do the 'final finishing things'. After 3 weeks of waiting we got our new oven cabinet - too bad the installer was on vacation. So a month later, we finally had all the cabinets installed - NEVER USE KRAFTMAID!! Oh... the cabinets are installed but we're still missing the doors on the oven cabinet because they put on the wrong type of hinges. Again... there have been a LOT of bad things said about Kraftmaid recently. The oven is beautiful, but currently doesn't cook anything - its only getting 120 V instead of the needed 240 V... electrician coming back tomorrow (after the KitchenAid repair guys came today). Other than the woes of the oven (and oven cabinet) we now have a fully functional kitchen including fridge, sink, gas stovetop, and dishwasher. Yeah! We've even moved the dining room table into the new dining room. The table looks really piddly now. And I keep getting confused. Mommy & Daddy tell me its dinnertime and to go to my seat and I keep forgetting it moved. In someways its fun too because I get to keep finding it!

The really exciting news is that its getting warmer out! So more trips to the park and outside to play in general. Yeah. All of the construction material is getting cleaned up this week, so I get to bring my slide and trikey and wagon out this weekend. Mommy said it might rain though... which is also okay. I love to jump in puddles! So hopefully there will be some good outside playing pictures to post soon. (That or we might FINALLY tile the entryway.... fun for Mommy & Daddy but BORING for me.)

Glimmer of Hope

Yesterday we got our counter tops! It almost looks like a kitchen now. Though don't be fooled, the cabinet people screwed up the most expensive cabinet... we've been waiting 2 weeks for the replacement. None of the appliances are hooked up.

We don't even have a working sink yet.

But the countertops are beautiful. The pictures at night don't really do it justice... the veins are black and green and there's big chunks of purple. Daddy is just happy that Mommy is happy (well except for all the people she's yelled at about the cabinets). I'm just happy that I have more places to hide and a place to put my juice box.

A week in PJs

A week of being snowed in and then being sick equals many days in pajamas. Its okay though. I've got some FABULOUS pjs including my great "Hoo Hoo" pjs. A week of snow and sickness also means lots of snacks and TV...

And cuddles with bunny and blankey...

wondering when I can go to the park...

And despite the snot... lots and lots of cuteness.

Record setting snow

Weekend snow storm... aka Snowmageddon. I tried to go play in the snow on Saturday... but I just got stuck at the front door.

Once I got out of the front door it was more fun getting stuck in the snow. I caught snowflakes on my tongue while making snow angels.

No one found it necessary to plow during the storm. Some crazy neighbors with big trucks made sure there were two tire tracks to walk in. The snow was so tall!

By Sunday, there were some better paths for walking...

and driving. I could see over the snow much better on Daddy's shoulders. It was a bit icy, but I just thought it was fun when he slipped. He never dropped me. (There were a couple of close calls though.)

Everything got covered again yesterday. We got another ~foot of snow. I didn't get to go out and play though. I got sick. boo!! Daddy is sick too. He's been sleeping all day.
