Me and the Cherry Tree

Grandpa Jim and Nana Lynn came to visit. Today is actually their last day - we've been too busy having fun to put up pictures. We waited for the warmest, sunniest day to go down to the D.C. Cherry Blossom Festival.

Tomorrow is the predicted peak (70% of the blossoms out), but I don't think they can count because there were blossoms EVERYWHERE!! It sure did look like peak to us. Nana and Mama kept stopping and taking pictures.

Mommy even made Daddy put me up in a tree!

Okay... in two trees.

Here are more pictures of flowers and me looking oh so cute!

And... Mommy's favorite.

We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo... again!

Mommy and I went to the zoo again last weekend. We went to see Auntie Anna and Uncle Masaya who were visiting from New York City. They're going to be parents soon (Anna looks great and you can't tell there's a baby in there yet!) I took Uncle Masaya to the side for a little chat. I gave him lots of good tips on how to be a good daddy. I hope he listened.

I think I successfully impressed upon him the importance of juice and snacks.

After all that work, it was time to play. Auntie Anna's real niece, Lucie, showed me the playground at the zoo. Its a GIANT PIZZA!! There was a huge tomato and slices of onions and mushrooms. There was even a slice of cheese that was like a slide.

There was a giant olive to crawl through. Who ever thought of a pizza-playground was a genius.

3 seasons in 1 week: SPRING

It was really warm this weekend... spring has arrived. Daddy kept sneezing because of all the tree pollen. We went to the zoo in the morning. Again, I was torn as to what I liked best - the other kids or the animals. The snake was pretty cool - it keep trying to get me through the glass.

In the afternoon, we played in the backyard. I had fun learning to garden. I like dirt! By the way... I like playing with the dirt. I didn't actually eat it (well not here... I did try it once... okay, a couple of times. It wasn't yummy.)

3 seasons in 1 week: FALL

Nature was going in reverse order. We went from winter to fall. Last time we had a pile of leaves I didn't know what to do. I've become much older and wiser since then. I just dove right in!

Then I picked up the rake and started helping Mama. It was a BIG rake.

3 seasons in 1 week: WINTER

This week we had our first (real) snow storm. I was literally up to my knees in the stuff. In total we got about 6-8 inches.

I have to say that I really didn't know what to do though. I kinda just stood there.
