jet setter

Mommy and I went to Woods Hole again for Mommy's work. But this time we flew! I don't know if I liked flying... but I didn't hate it. It was a short trip (1.5 hrs). I slept for half of the way there then played with Mommy. I slept the entire way back. I didn't cry once. Everyone was very impressed. They were also impressed at Mommy's meeting because I only cried once. It was during an informal evening meeting, so it wasn't a big deal. I was very quiet and courteous during the talks.

I went to the beach for the first time. The weather was actually really nice - 70s in April on the Cape is just crazy!! Before the meeting started, Mommy took Adi (co-worker) and me to Sandwich beach. I had lots of fun with the wind blowing in my face and watching some kids digging in the sand. Sorry no pictures. Mommy dropped the ball on that one.

Other news - I rolled over for the first time (well at least to Mommy & Daddy's knowledge) yesterday. And just for good measure I rolled over twice!!

Adams Family Girls

Auntie Ea and Grandma Lily came to visit me last week. We had lots of fun and got to play outside. They brought nice warm weather with them. I got to wear another one of my dresses! We went to DC and played in the park under the pretty cherry trees. Silly Mommy didn't get the pictures off of Grandma's camera, so we can't post them yet. But here's a few pictures of me and Grandma Lily.

(Are you other grandparents jealous yet?)

I tried to tell Daddy about my fun day...

but he just wasn't listening... he was watching soccer. It was so frustrating. And this picture makes my feet and legs look HUGE! There are just so many reasons to pout.

Unique...

Auntie Mary suggested that we put up a post describing my 'unique' features. She said I was too darn cute.... there must be something wrong with me. Well, we're going to call my oddities, 'unique'. We'll start with Mary's favorite, my toes. I've recently discovered my feet. We're a little surprised that it took so long to find since they're so big.

But I found them. I grab my toes and they grab back. I got Daddy's monkey toes. The really 'unique' feature is the middle toe which doesn't like to do the same thing as the rest of them. I wonder if that will mess up my soccer career?

The doctor pointed out my biggest (or smallest) unique feature. I'm a very tall healthy baby. New stats - 24 3/4" and 14 lbs. Those are both in the 75th percentile!! It must be from Daddy since Mommy was always in the 25th percentile as a kid. On top of that tall, healthy body is a little bitty head - 15 1/2" in circumference. That's in the 5th percentile!! A head hunter came and shrunk my head! The doctors assure us that intelligence isn't proportional to head size...

And we'll leave you with a picture of whats on top of that head - crazy curly hair. I look like Cindy Lou-Who from Whoville.

4 months old

4 months old... and a day. Look at how big I am... I come up to daddy's knees. I can even stand up all by myself... for a second.

I helped Mommy & Daddy with taxes this weekend. Taxes are really hard and require lots of concentration.

After taxes were done, we went out to dinner with Mommy's friends to celebrate my 4th month birthday. I had fun for a little while but the waitress took too long to get my hot water to heat up my babbas... and I was just cranky from then on. Hopefully my next birthday celebration will be more fun... it shouldn't be hard to beat taxes though!!

Messy Eater

On Sunday, I tried cereal for the first time.

I was really excited about the idea of eating big kid food. I helped hold the spoon and everything.

But in the end, eating off a spoon was tough. More food ended up on my face and bib than in my mouth. I'm learning.

Did everyone notice that I'm a big girl sitting up by myself in my Bumbo?! I can pull up to a sitting position too... just that balancing thing keeps knocking me down. Evil gravity.
