Kite festival

We went downtown with Grandma Lily and Grandpa Will to see the kite festival and the end of the cherry blossom festival.

After flying a kite for a while, we walked down to the carousel.

Grandma and I rode round and round in the princess carriage.  We went back a couple days later and I was brave and rode on one of the horses because it had a seat belt.

We tried flying a kite again, but there wasn't much wind on the Mall.  It was better by the Washington monument.

Davin passed out while I was on the carousel.

He as not a happy baby when he woke up.

It was still a great day downtown with Grandma and Grandpa.

Looks like you all had a lot of fun with the kites and the carousel. Maybe you can teach Davin to ride the horse the next time...

Next time you come to SoCal, we'll go to the beach and fly some kites! Hopefully it will be warmer than your last trip. Our water is always colder than the Atlantic (ask your mom about upwelling) so we probably won't go swimming.

I'm so proud you got on a horsey on the carousel! Someday we'll find you a real pony to ride! They are actually nicer because the loud carousel music isn't blaring in your ears. You can bring them a carrot or some sugar to make friends too!
