New Year

Our quiet New Year's Eve got more excited than expected.

There was an impromptu neighborhood block party with flashy lights and everything.  Unfortunately it was because of a kitchen fire.  Fortunately, the fire was contained quickly and no one was hurt.
It was a 3+ alarm fire with trucks blocking the entire street!

We stuck with having fun with the Christmas lights.  Davin and I had fun playing with them but were sad to take the Christmas tree down.  Davin loved reading Duck and Goose Its Christmas Time and point to our tree at the end when Duck and Goose decorate their tree.

Can't wait for next Christmas!

The lights look like fun! Just think, you get to do it again in 11 months. In the meantime, make sure you don't have a kitchen fire -- that is way to scary for us on the west coast...

There will be lots of other new things to look forward to: sledding down hills, making snow men and throwing snowballs at Mom and Dad. I'm glad you will remember Christmas and how important it is to be good little boys and girls so Santa brings you nice things next year!
