Great Sunday

Auntie Rhian is visiting us for a week while she raids the Smithsonian coral collections. She came in a couple of days early to hang out with us. Mommy dragged all of us to a picnic for her new work yesterday. It was okay.

Today was much better... a wonderful Sunday.

We headed downtown and hung out at the US Botanical Gardens. Davin and I got soaking wet in their Children's Garden.  It was the very first time it was actually open.  It was worth the wait -- I planted a coleus in the garden all by myself and then watered it with water I pumped into the watering can. Davin took the dip the can approach which was effective but not nearly as much fun... and much messier. By the time we left, we were drenched from head to toe.  It must have been fun!!

Mommy and I had to leave early to go to a birthday party.  Mommy messed up and went to the wrong kids' gym... we eventually got there. I missed most of the running around and playing but I got to eat pizza and cake.... and I got to take home one of the balloons (and one for Davin)!!

After I got home, my neighbor Maddie came over to play until dinner time.

Then... to top it off... after dinner, we had a camp fire and roasted marshmallows.  Yum, s'mores!! A great end to a great day.  I can't wait until next weekend!!

What a fabulous day for everyone! We wish we could have gotten wet too (and help plant a new plant). We hope there are many, many more like this one...
