Thanksgiving (& Hanakkah)

We hopped on a plane on Thanksgiving. The time changed worked well and we made it for an early afternoon Thanksgiving feast at G'ma Aileen's house.

I was a bit cranky from the plane ride though... (or at least the waking up really early part of getting to the plane ride).

We followed up that feast with a visit to the Poehls's family Thanksgiving for pie, family history lesson, and play.

And we celebrated another holiday as well - Hanakkah. I got to help light the second candle for the second night.

Sorry that you had to get up so early! At least, you got another three hours to enjoy the sun while you were in Los Angeles. Besides, you learned about another holiday and to participate in one of its traditions - that's all good. Keep learning as long as you can...

Thanksgiving and Hanukkah won't be celebrated together again until 2070, so this was a very special year.
