Mom's favorite holiday has always been the fourth of July - yummy food, fireworks, and fun. This fourth was different... instead we celebrated on the FIFTH. It was fun though!
We built and then tore down our first ever sand castle.
Water balloon toss and egg toss!! We didn't win though.
You didn't have to win anything to get a free pony ride.
We did win the tug of war though! Go South Side!!
Of course, the night was finished by our own fireworks display fired off the dock in the middle of the lake.

That might have been the first sand castle at the lake. I have pictures of a (much smaller and less elaborate) sand castle you built on Santa Monica beach when Davin wasn't even a year old... .
