New Accomplishments

So you all saw me roll over... and now I've rolled the other way. Before I always rolled to my left. Now I can do it to the right. AND I can roll from my tummy to my back. I've only done these things a few times now. Rolling to the left is still the easiest. Mommy won't let me do it on the changing table though - boo!

Also to add to the list, I've slept an entire night in my own bed. I've been going to sleep in my crib for almost 2 months now, but I usually 'crawl' into Mommy & Daddy's bed around 6 am (and then kick Mommy in my sleep until about 8 am). But this morning, I didn't wake up at 6am. I slept until 7:15 am (granted I woke up hungry my 2 other normal times in the middle of the night) and then started turning on and off my 'aquarium' - it bubbles, lights up, and plays music. I had seen Mommy do it... and I thought I'd give it a try. Cause & effect is fun! (The current deluded dream for Mommy & Daddy is to have me sleep all the way through the night in my crib by 6 months... we're at least moving in the right direction.)

Much to Mommy's annoyance, I'm starting to insist on things - specifically sharing Mommy's juice in the mornings. I don't really get much juice, I just like to pretend to drink out of the glass. When Mommy wants her turn I whine. (While I (Mommy) knows this is a good developmental step... it sure is an annoying one! I think it might be a while before she really learns sharing.)

What a large set of steps forward! Keep up the good work. I am sure your mom and dad will appreciate all of this in the far distant future.

Wow! Amazing the leaps and bounds that making those first discoveries make. Be aware that the next step is mobility... crawling around the house and then INVESTIGATING anything with reach! Have Fun! (but start to baby proof)

She already 'investigates' anything she can reach... her reach is just limited right now. Oh... and for the last two days, she has a new high pitched squealing/squeaking/screaming sound. You can't really tell if its a happy squeal or an upset one. Dan has now taken up calling her 'baby godzilla.' Charming.

Baby Godzilla -- I think not! Lovable, endearing, cute are all more apt for her than Godzilla.
