Last Grand
I finally met my last set of grandparents - Grandma Lynne and Grandpa Jim. There seems to be SOOO many grandparents. What do I call them all? ga'ma? gramps? I don't think there are enough nicknames for grandparents to cover all of mine!
Though I don't know what to call her (if I could talk), she keeps me nice and warm and happy while mommy and daddy are at work.
Grandpa Jim is like a big teddy bear. I like to sleep on him.. but here I'm just happy.
I've been working on talking... but usually my communication is still crying. I think I was crying here (below) because I saw a picture of me and grandpa - who hiked my pants up so high? I'm not Urkel! Mommy never would have done such a fashion faux-paux. It must have been Daddy.
When he's not dressing me poorly, Daddy likes to teach me tricks. Look I can sit up all by myself!! Well at least for 30 seconds to a minute. There are no hands or anything else holding me up here! You can see both of Daddy's hands are on my butt or below. Yes - my shirt does say Genius. Sitting up before 2 months old... pretty brilliant, if I do say so myself. :-)

Party time
I went to my first party last night. Mom's bosses threw a farewell dinner party for a post-doc in the lab who's leaving for a faculty position in Japan... and they were silly enough to invite me. I wasn't on my best behavior but I was at least quiet during dinner - I was in Mommy's lap for half of it. Ah, the comfy spot.
Oh... I wasn't very clear last post. The reason I'm going to day care now is because Mommy went back to work last Tuesday. Six weeks goes by really quickly!!

Alright Already!
While its nice to know that so many people care about me and read my blog... really now! Give mom a break. She's sorry she hasn't put up new pictures and stories for over a week. Its been a busy week!! And the the week before, I was being very cranky. Its not nearly as fun to put up pictures of a crying baby.
Anywho... this week was a big one. I went to day care for the first time at Books & Blocks. This is me and Ms. Shelby. She spoils me as much as, if not more than, Mommy & Daddy. (Ms. Shelby has 3 boys and no girls.) There are lots of other kids there to entertain and distract me during the day. I'm always good at day care and rarely ever cry - I save my fussing and crying for home. :-) I figure Mommy & Daddy HAVE to love me whether I cry or not.
Mom had a day off on Monday while I went to day care. So she went to the chiropractor to fix all the damage I've done - and got a very nice massage while there. And she chopped off all her hair. I guess I finally got strong enough to pull hard. We're not sure if we like the new hair cut - I can't cause Mom as much pain now, but then again, I no longer have that annoying hair in the way of my food! No one likes hair in their food.
Look at how strong my grip has gotten. Mom's hair was so long she donated it to make wigs for sick people. (Once Mom can convince Dad to take a picture, I'll add a picture of Mom's new hair cut. Its okay.)

1 month old!
Happy Birthday to me. Okay, I'm one month and a day, but its not my fault Mom didn't put up a post yesterday. Mom thought it would be a good idea to chronicle my accomplishments over the month... so here we go. Once Mom finishes revisions to a paper, she'll work on putting pictures up with the lists.
My accomplishments:
My accomplishments:
- I've grown! Official weigh in: 9 lbs 6 oz! I'm now tall too at 21.5". I'm a big girl!
