Grandma Lily came to visit for Christmas. The weekend after Christmas it was sunny and warm (50s) so we took a trip into the city to check out the preparations for the new president. I don't know what all the fuss is about, but grandma was really really happy.

The fun of being near DC are the opportunities to be around when "history" is in the making, like when G'a ma Ai went to bring extra blankets to all the people for MLK march and stayed for "I Have a Dream." Your mom will have THE day off, but the crowds will be crazy. Glad you went into the city to check out the scene.
So nice to see you as a part of historical change. I am looking forward to the far future when you get to be President (if that is what you want to be)...
