Everyone's sick

I'm finally starting feel better. Yesterday wasn't so good - my tummy hurt. But today, I'm much better. Mommy and Daddy on the other hand... they're sick. Sharing is caring afterall!

We're not so photogenic right now, so I thought I'd update you on some of the progress on the house.

This week was the first week of work on the addition. Day one - excavate for the foundation. Day two - wait on the inspector - APPROVED. Day three - snow and rain. Day four - dig out some mud to help dry it out. Day five - start pouring the foundation! The backhoe and cement truck were AWESOME!!

The big progress that we've made was getting in the floors in the Rec Room downstairs. I showed you how I helped out, but it makes a better story with some of the in progress and final product pictures.

Once the smelly old carpet was removed, we were left with... this...

Some of the old tiles were broken or missing and needed to be patched.

All the fun couches got pushed into the entry way while we put down the floors.

Again, I just wanted to remind you that I was a HUGE help!!

Once in stalled it flows perfectly from the red oak risers to the new floor.

The floor looks pretty good with our new Xmas tree too!! I helped pick it out. It was cold.

The other project that was finished recently was my new closet!! Its got TONS of storage space (all the area behind the closed door is storage for my toys, etc). And most importantly is super cute.

Its too raining outside for Mommy to cut the floors to finish the hallway, so today's project got changed to fixing the hole in the ceiling. Its a big hole!!

As you can see, I also helped put in the new drywall to patch the hole. I did a great job marking it up... so it could be oriented properly of course.

Like my circle?

I love your circle for the ceiling patch! And your closet -- it is "to die for"! So, keep helping mom and dad and soon it will all be done; then you can just play and play and play (as soon as you get better of course...
